We now have used the steam train from Toddington to Cheltenham Racecourse for 2 years running for Gold Cup day. It is a fantastic experience and we have made several friends. We would never consider driving to the event after experiencing this mode of travel. It is so convenient to walk in/out of the Racecourse and to bypass the queues of traffic and parking problems. The atmosphere on the station platform prior to the train journey is fantastic and both the band & staff were first class – Carol & Kevin

Relax and indulge in the nostalgic and tranquil setting of Toddington, where you can enjoy live music courtesy of our very own Irish band performing on the platform. Step back in time and relish first class travel as you enjoy a stress-free 35 minute journey through the beautiful countryside of the Cotwolds, Malverns and Vale of Evesham pulled by a magnificent steam train locomotive. Allocated seating is provided on the train and each seat on board has access to a table so you have plenty of room to get out your racing posts and cram in some last minute form study. A full cash bar service is also available throughout the outbound and return journey where tea, coffee, beer, ale, Guinness, wines, soft drinks and Champagne are available to purchase. This experience is very similar to taking a helicopter into the Grand Prix as it avoids all of the traffic in and around the racecourse and takes the stress out of travelling to a major sporting event.
